It is important to know that this fee is not returned, regardless of the outcome of the case.

Windsor is a family-oriented community that has an exceptional quality of life. Even though the Town of Windsor pays among the lowest amounts per capita for police services, the crime rates are extremely low compared to other communities. The Windsor Police Department is comprised of employees contracted with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department.
There are 22 full-time employees working in the Windsor Police Department, including the Chief, two Sergeants, 13 officers, one K9 officer, one traffic officer, one school resource officer, one community services officer, and two civilian administrative staff.
The Department provides law enforcement services to the town, such as patrol duties, traffic enforcement, security for special events, conducting investigations, and a K9 unit.
If your loved one has been arrested by the Windsor Police Department, they will likely be transported to the Sonoma County Jail Main Adult Detention Facility in Santa Rosa for the booking process. This will include fingerprinting, photographs (“mug shots”), and a nationwide background and warrant check. Depending on how busy the jail staff is at the time, it could take several hours for booking to be completed.
When you call 1-877-861-3761, we can get paperwork for a bail bond completed and post bail for them at the jail 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.
