Established in 1990, the Airport Division of the San Jose Police Department incorporated the previous San Jose Airport Security Police. The Airport Division of the SJPD consists of extraordinary units staffed with police officers who have an average of twenty years experience. There are 412 total miles that make up the Central Division of the SJPD. The four districts which make up this area are: Victor, Robert, Edward and King. The borderlines of the SJPD Central Division consist of Guadalupe River to the West, Highway 101 to the East, Highway 280 to the South, and the San Francisco Bay/City of Milpitas to the North.
