Bail Process and Costs
We understand the special needs of people detained in San Diego jails and can help you understand the details of the bail bond process. Because timing and bail procedures can vary so widely in San Diego County, the bail bond paperwork should be started promptly to allow for release from jail as quickly as possible.
We offer a convenient way of posting a bail bond by fax or e-mail. It’s great to know that the application process can be handled confidentially, and quickly over the phone in a few short minutes from the comfort of your home. Or, if you’d like, one of our professional bondsmen can meet with you directly at the jail. It’s up to you.
The cost of a San Diego bail bond is established by the State of California at 10% of the total bail amount. For example, if the bail amount is set at $20,000, the bail bond will cost $2,000. We offer our clients several convenient payment options which can help meet your financial needs and accept all major credit cards. Most find using a credit card the easiest way to pay for a bail bond. You may also choose to pay in cash.
