The SDPD Southeastern Division Station serves the areas and communities of Alta Vista, Bay Terrace, Chollas View, Emerald City, Encanto, Jamacha-Lomita, Lincoln Park, Mountain View, Mount Hope, Paradise Hills, Shelltown, Skyline, Southcrest and Valencia.
Southeastern Division serves a population of 147,156 people and encompasses 16.0 square miles. When a person is arrested in San Diego, he may be taken to the local law enforcement station for booking and processing into the system. Depending on the size and/or workload of the jail, the booking process can take several hours to complete. The larger more busy facilities may take much longer than the smaller ones.
The Eastern Division station does not currently have a jail cell at their facility. Men who are arrested in these areas are generally transferred to the San Diego Men’s Central Jail downtown. Women will be transferred to the Las Colinas Women’s Jail which is located in Santee.
