Booking Process
When someone is being booked, a long period of time may pass before the San Diego County jail system has logged that person’s arrest into their computer system. If you should you contact the jail too quickly after your friend or family member has been arrested, you may come to find that they have not been cleared for bail yet. This is a normal procedure as the pre-booking period can take a while to complete. However, once they are clear, a bail bond can be posted 24 hours a day.
