Yucaipa Sheriff’s Department and Jail Information

The Yucaipa Sheriff’s Department focuses on two areas which are juvenile offenders and habitual offenders. Lee Hamblin serves as the Captain of the Department. He, along with his other officers, provide law enforcement to the city of Yucaipa as well as Mentone, Oak Glen, Mountain Home Village communities, Forest Falls, Angelus Oaks and Barton Flats.
When someone is arrested in the Yucaipa area, they will be transported by the San Bernardnio Sheriff’s Department to a temporary holding cell at the Yucaipa Station. If they are not released or bailed out from this small jail, defendants will be transferred to the Central Detention Center jail located in San Bernardino.
The Bail Bond Process
When someone is arrested by the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Department, they are taken to the Yucaipa Jail for booking and processing and to await their bond setting. The bail bond is set according to the severity of the crime that has been said to have been committed.
Once bond has been set, it’s time to get a professional bail bondsman in Yucaipa to handle your bail bond needs, unless of course, you feel you can afford it on your own. In most instances, you’ll find that it’s not very convenient, as the median bail bond in the state of California is set around $20,000. You could take the full amount to the jail in cash or cashier’s check. Alternatively, if you use a bondsman, you will pay 10% of the bail amount, which most people find more reasonable.
After the bail bond has been arranged, we will “post” the bail and the release from jail will be as quick as possible. There is no way to give an exact time unfortunately, as jails can be extremely busy. However, Tonya Page Bail Bonds knows the system very well and can give you an approximate time based on the information you provide. If an arrestee is not bailed out, they will stay in the custody of the jail until their court date, or until the case against them has been resolved.
