The Central Station Sheriff’s Department was first established in 1890. They are acknowledged as the longest standing patrol division within the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. The Captain of Central Station is Gerry Tesselaar. He, along with his officers, are responsible for providing police services to Waterman Canyon, Arrowhead Farms, Devore, Muscoy, Grand Terrace, Loma Linda, and San Manuel Indian Reservation and Casino. They provide excellent police force at the Glen Helen Motocross Raceway during their spectacular events. Today they have 56 deputies and a wide spread volunteer group consisting of approximately 60 individuals.
