Maguire Correctional Facility is the only jail in all of San Mateo County. There is a women’s facility, however, everyone that is arrested will be booked at the Maguire Facility. Even though the Maguire Correctional Facility has a daily increase in the inmate population, the Sheriff’s Office has been able to control the facility efficiently. There have been no serious staff injuries, no escapes or any serious incidents within the inmate population.
