Do I Have to Use a Bail Bondsman?
Typically, this question comes up at the beginning of the bail bond process. Tonya Page Bail Bonds always has the same answer to that, “No, you do not have to use a bondsman.” You can take the full amount of the bail in cash or cashier’s check to the jailer or court.
However, because the bail bond process is somewhat detailed and can be very expensive, often people find that financially, a bail bondsman is necessary, and ultimately, makes more sense to use one rather than not. Daily we see bail in Riverside County set between $10,000 and $20,000. Realistically only a few people could put the money up for that. That’s why people use bondsmen where you will pay only 10% of the full bail amount as a non-refundable fee.
