Bail Bond Process

Once someone is arrested in Rocklin, they will be booked into the Placer County Jail. The booking process can take from 2-6 hours to complete, depending on how busy jail staff members are when an arrestee is brought in. Bail will be set according to the county bail schedule and can be posted as soon as booking is complete. It can be paid in full to the jail or court with cash or certified check. Most people will have to seek the help of a licensed bondsman to get a friend or family member out of jail.

When you call 1-877-861-3761 for a free consultation, an agent will ask some basic questions, such as the defendant’s name and birth date, address and employment information, bail amount and list of charges. After paperwork is completed, the bail bond premium will need to be paid.

The cost of a bail bond is 10%. For example, if the defendant’s bail is $15,000 then you will pay $1,500. The bondsman will then go to the court or jail and post bail. We can post bail to the Placer County Jail 24-hours a day. Once bail is paid, it will take several hours before the defendant is released. Jail staff will always take safety into consideration first and foremost.
