The Santa Ana Police Department provides law enforcement services to the largest city in Orange County by population, with 351,697 residents. They are also the largest municipal police agency in Orange County. Community oriented policing has been a core philosophy of the department since the 1970’s. They believe in forging partnerships with the community to address the causes of crime and to reduce the fear of crime.

If your loved one, friend, or family member has been arrested in Santa Ana, they will likely first be taken to the Santa Ana Police Department which has its own jail. The Santa Ana Jail is primarily leased out for Federal Inmates. The jail is staffed by sworn officers, which allow Santa Ana Police Officers to spend more time in the field where they are needed.

It’s important to know that defendants will be kept at the Santa Ana PD jail for only a short time. Police staff will usually transfer defendants as quickly as possible to the Orange County Central Jail, (OCJ) via an underground tunnel connection between the two jails. However, if a bail bond has been arranged, the bondsman can notify Santa Ana PD and they will hold the defendant until the bondsman arrives. This window of opportunity however is very short, so it is best to arrange for their bail as quickly as possible.

Booking and processing at the Orange County Central Jail can take approximately 4 to 8 hours. Once the bail bond is posted, release of the defendant can generally take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours.

The Bail Bond Process

To begin the bail bond process, simply call us with the name of the defendant. It can also be helpful to know the jail or police station where the individual was taken, along with the correct spelling of their name.

When you choose to move forward, a bail bond application will need to be filled out, along with an “Indemnity Agreement” and a receipt. All of the paperwork quickly and easily be processed by your e-mail or fax in just a few minutes.

In California by law, the cost for a bail bond is 10% of the total amount of the bail. For example: If the amount of the bail at the Orange County Jail is $10,000, you will pay $1,000 to have your family member or friend released. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

We are experts in creative bail bond solutions and will work for with you the entire way to make the process go as smoothly as possible. We also offer flexible bail payment plans to those who qualify.
