All inmates booked in the Huntington Beach City Jail are eligible to be released on bail bond, unless specified by warrant, court order, bail schedule, or the level of the inmate’s intoxication makes it unsafe to release the inmate.

The Police Department is located at the Civic Center. The entrance is located directly under the clock tower. The Irvine Police Department is available to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However the Business Desk front lobby remains open from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays. After hours contact can be made via an intercom button at the front door of the police department.
James Musick Jail Facility

The James Musick Jail Facility is run by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. This is a minimum security jail and is located in the unincorporated area near the cities of Irvine and Lake Forest. The inmates are usually detainees that have been charged with driving under the influence, minor drug possession, failure to pay child support, prostitution or burglary. Any arrestee that has been charged with committing a violent crime or sex crime will not be transferred to this facility.

There is a fee for parking in the structure and parking will not be validated. It is just around the corner from the Sheriff’s Department.

Operated by the Sheriff’s Department, the Theo Lacy Jail is Orange County’s largest jail. It is located in the City of Orange.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department Services
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of the Orange County. Some of the unincorporated areas are located within the boundaries of incorporated cities of the county. Thus, someone may be arrested within a city such as Santa Ana, Brea or Anaheim, but be incarcerated by the Sheriff’s Department.
Additionally, the Cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton, and Villa Park contract with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for police services.
Additionally, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department operates police services for the Orange County Transit Authority(OCTA), security at the John Wayne Airport, Harbour Patrol.
