Home Invasion Robbery Suspect Booked at Santa Monica Jail

A man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual assault, home invasion robbery and assault with a deadly weapon has been apprehended by the Santa Monica Police Department.

The incident happened in late February, police said, when the 25-year-old suspect broke into an apartment on 5th street in Santa Monica. The suspect then attacked the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for surgery; forensic evidence led investigators to identify the suspect. That man was captured a short time later at the Van Nuys Probation office.

In addition to the above stated crimes, he’s also being charged with kidnapping and a probation violation. The defendant was booked at the Santa Monica Jail where he was being held on a no bail bonds hold.
