Paying for a Bail Bond
In California, the cost of a bail bond is set by the Department of Insurance. The fee is equal to 10% of the total bail amount. That means that, if a person’s bail is set at $15,000, the cost of a bail bond is $1,500. This fee may not be negotiated and no additional fees or taxes are added to the cost.
We understand that a bail bond is an unexpected expense, and that it can be difficult for many people to be able to afford it. That is why we accept payments made by credit card. Payment plans are also available to qualifying clients. In most cases, we will not require any collateral to secure a bond.
