Bail Bond Questions and Answers

When researching the facts about bail bonds, it’s great to have information at your fingertips, right when you need it. Here, you can find answers to some of the many questions asked from our clients on a daily basis.  It’s our job to keep apprised of the Valencia jail facility and any changes that take place in the bail bonds industry.

Q:What Should I Do When Someone Is Arrested in Valencia?

A:        If you’re interested in posting bail in Valencia or simply looking for additional information, your first call should be to our bail bond company at 1-877-861-3761. We’re available anytime, day or night, even holidays. During our bail bondsman’s free one-on-one consultation with you, we will collect important information about the situation to determine the amount of risk that will be involved in the bail bond. Once that’s complete, they will begin the approval process. All of this can be done quickly, conveniently and confidentially over the phone in a few short minutes.

Q:       What Is A Bail Bond?

A:      A Bail Bond is also called a “Surety Bond.” It is a contract executed by the signer, known as the indemnitor or co-signer, which guarantees that the defendant, (arrestee) will appear for their scheduled court appearances. In the event of the defendant’s “failure to appear,” also sometimes called a “skip”, the signers of the bail bond contract agree to help the bondsman get the defendant back into court. Most often this is taken care of with a couple of phone calls.

Q.What Will I Need To Begin The Bail Bond Process?

A:        To begin the process, all you need is to call us with the name of the defendant. Other information can be helpful such as the jail or police station the individual was taken to, the correct spelling of the name and their date of birth, but this information is not necessary. Should you choose to move forward, a bail bond application will be filled out, along with an Indemnity Agreement and a receipt. With our bail company, all of this paperwork can be processed by e-mail or FAX in just a few minutes.

Q:       Can You Tell Me More About the Release Process?

A:       After an arrestee has been booked and processed, they may be eligible for release from jail within a few hours. In Valencia, options for jail release include:

  • Bail Bonds
  • Own Recognizance (“O.R.”)
  • Property Bond
  • Cash Bond
  • Citation Release (“Cite Out”)

Q:       Can a Bail Bondsman Meet Me Directly At The Valencia Jail?

A.      Yes. A bondsman can come directly to your home location or meet you directly at the Valencia jail. Often, we don’t need to meet you at all, if you choose. We can email or fax paperwork if that is convenient.

Q:       How Much Does Bail Cost?

A:        In most states by law, including California, the cost of a bail bond is 10% of the total amount of the bail. For example: If the amount of the bail at the Valencia Jail is $10,000, you will pay $1,000 to have your family member or friend released.

Q:       Do You Offer Payment Plans?

A:        Yes. You can pay by cash or a payment plan can be arranged. The majority of our clients pay for bail bonds by credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We are skilled in creative bail bonds solutions and will work for you to make the process as easy as possible.
