Those taken into custody by the Pomona Police Department will be transported to the Pomona Station location which is a temporary holding/booking station. Within the first 3 hours, they will be allowed phone calls. Inmates are allowed a visit within the first 24 hours of their booking, or prior to their arraignment, whichever comes first..

If not bailed out quickly from there, arrestees will be transported to the much larger Los Angeles Men’s Central Jail. Women will be transported to the Lynwood Jail ocated in Lynwood on Alameda Street. 

Once the detainee is booked into the system at the Pomona Police Department, a bail bond can be posted. It will typically take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours for their release after a bond has been posted. However, should they be transferred to one of the larger Los Angeles jail facilities, it will generally take a much longer time, (up to 24 hours) for them to be released.
