The Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Community Station (known as “NEC Station”) ranks first in crime reduction, city-wide out of 21 police stations. The station is an older building; however it is not the original division facility. That honor belongs to a structure on York Street which is now an LAPD museum.

The NEC area encompasses 29 square miles in size, has a population of about 250,000, and is under the jurisdiction of Central Bureau of the LAPD. When arrestees are taken to the NEC Station they can expect a booking wait-time that runs anywhere from ½ hour to four. Since the NEC doesn’t have its own jail, they take their defendants to one of three jails: Metro Center, Van Nuys and the 77th Street Jail. Tonya Page Bail Bonds can provide bondsman services at any of these jails.
