Bail Bonds Costs & Discounts

Bail bonds are regulated through the California Department of Insurance, and it is currently set at a 10% fee. This means that if the bail is set at $20,000, your bail bond fee should be 10% of that, which would mean you would pay $2,000 for the services of the bail bond company.

When researching a bail bond company, you should pay close attention to this fact. If the company you are inquiring about offers you a significantly lower rate or even a higher rate, this is illegal and unethical. For example, if they offer you a 5% rate, likely they are putting you on a payment plan. If not, the rate is illegal.

A bondsman should offer you a safe and secure way of release for a defendant. If they are conducting business in other means, like offering a lower or higher rate, they are performing illegally and you should seek a different company right away. Tonya Page Bail Bonds is a licensed practice and is affiliated with the Better Business Bureau. We work hard to make sure we are working within legal means as well as assuring you the most efficient release possible.
