The City of Alhambra, also known as the gateway to the San Gabriel valley is a city of charming, well-manicured residential neighborhoods and an increasing number of businesses. It is situated within a “Sixty Mile Circle” in Los Angeles with a dynamic concentration of people, business, industry and finance. In Alhambra, the Police Department operates the Alhambra City Jail and the detainee will be brought there. Visiting hours are from 10 am to 5 p.m., seven days a week. The Alhambra City Jail houses federal prisoners, INS detainees and municipal arrestees. Should for any reason, the arrestee be transferred from the Alhambra jail, they will be brought to the Twin Towers / Men’s Central Jail location in Los Angeles, (Men’s Central Jail) or, if a women, she will be transported to Lynwood Jail.
