Bail Bond Cost

In California, the fee that a bondsman can charge for a bail bond is regulated by the Department of Insurance.  The fee is equal to 10% of the defendant’s bail. For instance, if bail is $10,000 then the cost of a bail bond will be $1,000.

A bail bond is an unexpected expense that many people cannot afford. To help make it easier, we accept payments made with any major credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We can also finance a bond for many clients at no additional cost. In most cases, we do not require collateral in order to secure a bond.

This is a stressful situation for everyone involved. Having a trusted bondsman on your side to help you through it will make it so much easier to handle.

From the time the jail was first opened in 1963 until 1983, sheriff’s deputies would rotate their shifts in order to oversee the inmates. After that, correctional officers were brought in to take over the supervision of the jail population. Expansions have been added to the original jail in order to accommodate the growing jail population.
