The Investigative Division consists of two units: Special Investigations and General Investigations. Special Investigations focuses on gang and narcotic activity, while General Investigations focuses on other felony crimes in the city. Each unit has its own commander and sergeant. Special Investigations has four investigators and General has five. General Investigations are also supplemented by two part-time cold case investigators as well as a check-fraud investigator.Patrol Division includes patrol officers, K9 officers, school resource officers, traffic unit and neighborhood crime suppression.
