The Santa Ana Police Department provides law enforcement services to the largest city in Orange County by population, with 351,697 residents. It's important to know that defendants will be kept at the Santa Ana PD jail for only a short time. Police staff will usually transfer defendants as quickly as possible to the Orange County Central Jail, (OCJ) via an underground tunnel connection between the two jails.
