Bail Bond Costs
In California, the cost of a bail bond, called the bail bond premium, is equal to 10% of the total set bail amount. For example, if bail is set at $10,000, then you will pay a bondsman $1,000. The bail bond premium is set by the California Department of insurance and is not negotiable. This fee is also not returnable.
