The Torrance Police Department has one of the largest city jails in Los Angeles County. In Torrance, booking and processing of persons arrested for a crime is the responsiblity of the Jail Section. Processing includes the taking the arrestee's picture and fingerprints, obtaining identification, and maintaining housing until the arrestee is able to post bail or is taken to court for arraignment. In addition, the Jail Section is responsible for staffing the desk in the front lobby of the police department to assist the public. The Torrance Police Department is open 24 x 7.

Driving Directions: The Torrance Police Department Jail is located at 3300 Civic Center Drive, Torrance, CA. From the 405 freeway, exit at Crenshaw Blvd. and proceed south approximately one mile. Turn right on Maricopa Street and proceed west to Maple Avenue. Turn right and proceed north to Civic Center Drive. Turn left and proceed west to the front of the station.
