The Mojave Substation Jail is used for detain individuals who have been arrested in Mojave. The jail is small, having only 14 beds. The defendant will be held here temporarily until they are released or transferred to the main Bakersfield Jail. The substation provides services for approximately 14,000 people in Mojave area of Kern County.

What Happens When Someone Is Arrested?
