Bail Bonds for Domestic Violence

Domestic Disputes Happen in Every Family

You’re likely visiting this webpage because you need a bail bond related to domestic violence or other family situation in Southern California. I’m sorry that you are in this position. Domestic disputes, and especially spousal disputes, happen in every family. When does a dispute or an argument become “Domestic Violence”? We all know that line is not always well-defined. As a bail agent, I understand that sometimes situations are explainable or weren’t what they appeared to be. I’m here to help. You can call me 24/7 at 877-224-5266.

Domestic Violence Charges in Southern California

In Southern California, including Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego and Ventura, we are all hyper-aware of Domestic Violence charges due to the Simpson case. One of the consequences of the high-profile case is stricter enforcement and increased arrests on Domestic Violence charges.

Domestic violence cases in Southern California are more aggressively pursued today than ever before. Police departments and officers are there for our protection and they would rather remove someone from a situation than to return later to a devastating scene. Unfortunately for some, this means being arrested and charged with domestic violence. It causes families pain and embarrassment and costs money for bail, potentially for an attorney and possibly for a fine and/or treatment counseling.

In the past, the police would not arrest a someone in a domestic dispute in the absence of obvious evidence of serious abuse. Now, police action at domestic violence calls is dictated by a strict agenda which requires police to arrest a husband or a wife or a boyfriend or a girlfriend, if one or the other has any visible injury. The police take very brief statements and decide that the injured person is the victim and the non-injured person is a suspected domestic abuser. Sometimes, even though there has been an arrest, formal charges may not be brought.

Domestic Violence Bail Amounts

The bail amount for domestic violence is set within each jurisdiction. For specific information, please call my office or visit the webpage for your county:

Paying for a Bail Bond

Generally, the bail bond fee is paid in advance of bailing someone out of jail. Most families pay for a bail bond using a major credit card. I accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card. I also accept cash.

I understand the cost of the bond is not something for which you have planned. If you qualify, payment arrangements may be made. Generally, I will make payment arrangements if you have good credit and/or are a home owner. Additionally, I prefer to have some of the money in advance.
