San Diego PD Gets New Northwestern Division Captain

A new San Diego Police Department Captain will be in command as the previous Captain, Miguel Rosario, has been transferred. The recent announcement stated that Albert Guaderrama has been named as the new Captain of the SDPD Northwestern Division.

During the past 15 months, Captain Rosario was in command of the Northwestern Division where he made it his mission statement and goal to reduce crime by building solid relationships and partnering with the community at large.

Sheriff Department Is Warning Holiday Shoppers To Keep Their Eyes Open and Their Cars Locked.

This year, holiday shoppers should be on the look-out while keeping their wits about them, as there may be more criminal activity during this time.

California Police Officers Receive National Honors

Tonya Page Bail Bonds would like to congratulate the three California law enforcement officers who were recognized by Parade Magazine‘s Officer of the Year. The annual award ceremony is dedicating three of its awards to the following law enforcement officers from California: Thi Huynh of the Garden Grove Police Department, John Young of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, and  William B. Hout of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.

Huynh is 29 years old and a native Vietnamese. He has been serving with the Garden Grove Police Department since 2007. Two of his recognitions are for saving a 15-year old boy who had gone into cardiac arrest and for resuscitating an inmate who had stopped breathing. Furthermore, he is being recognized for an extreme act of random kindness.

On November 28, Huynh was called to the scene of a fatality. A father had been found in his driveway after dying from a heart attack. When Huynh showed up, the man’s six children and wife was standing there is dismay. Huynh ultimately felt obligated to figure out how this large family with a recently deceased father would survive for Christmas.

Old Police Station May Be Transformed Into High Tech Startup Co.

In an effort to attract the upper echelon of high-tech guru’s and higher paying  jobs, Escondido decision makers have endorsed a plan to makeover an old police station and transform it into a building of the future.

Once completed the defunct Escondido Police Station on West Grand Avenue would be a startup site for future technology companies.

The Economic Downturn Affects All Businesses – Even Bail Bonds

Most people think that when the economy is bad, crime goes up and bail bondsmen really rake in the dough.  Think again. 

While some states may have seen an increase in crime, not all states have seen that sort of increase.  Bail bond companies sell a product like other merchants, and when the economy is down, it affects their business as well.  While people are struggling to pay their house payments and don’t have the money to pay their bills, they most likely cannot afford a bail bond either. So, yes, it does affect the bail bond companies just like any other business.

Operated by the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the South Bay Detention Facility (SBDF), also known as the Chula Vista Jail, is a state-of-the-art prison. It is also a non-booking facility that incarcerates both high and low-level inmates. It is one of San Diego County’s less populated facilities.

This jail should not be confused with the Chula Vista jail run by the Chula Vista Police Department.
