Built in 1995, the Todd Road Jail is located in Santa Paula. This facility houses both sentenced and unsentenced males. The Todd Road Jail is the Sheriff’s newest adult jail facility. It is located on 157 acres between Ventura and Santa Paula. The facility is designed to house 784 inmates. This jail is also nown as “TRJ.”

The East County Jail, which is in the same location as the Thousand Oaks Police Department, serves as a satellite booking jail for agencies in eastern Ventura County. The Ventura County Main Jail receives new bookings from the Sheriff’s Patrol, the Ventura Police Department, the University of California Police Department and the California Highway Patrol and other Ventura police agencies which may not have a jail or may have limited jail facilities.
Arrestees from the Santa Maria Branch Jail are routinely transferred to the Main Jail.
The Pre-Trial Detention Facility also is located at the Ventura Main jail. The pre-trial jail houses both male and female defendants who are awaiting trial and have not been bailed out, as well as inmates who require 24-hour medical care. All Ventura County bail bonds can be posted at this facility.
