I recently found out I have an arrest warrant in Los Angeles County.  I want to get this cleared up as quickly as possible, and was hoping to get information about how to turn myself in.

When someone learns they have an arrest warrant, the first thing they’ll want to do is to contact a local bondsman.  The bondsman can help you arrange all the bail bonds paperwork in advance, which will allow you to get out of jail quickly.  Be sure to let the bondsman know when you are tuning yourself in, along with the jail you’ll be turning yourself into.  This will allow them to monitor your booking process.

When you turn yourself in, you’ll have your personal items (car keys, wallet, cell phone) taken from you and those items will be placed in a sealed plastic bag.  Your items will not be returned to you until you’re released from custody.  From there, you’ll undergo an intake interview, be fingerprinted, photographed and you’ll undergo a national background check.  On average, the booking process at the LA jails will take between 4 and 6 hours.

Once you’re fully booked, the bondsman will be able to post your bail bonds. Depending on which jail you are at, the release process can take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours. For more information on how bail bonds for warrants work call our office now at 888-224-5266.
